Tool 03 — Transport
Highway, bridge and tunnel fees — by vehicle class and route.
Türkiye's toll system has three flavours — HGS (radio-frequency sticker, the system tourists use), OGS (older in-car transponder, locals) and KGS (cash/card at a booth, mostly phased out). Most travellers don't realise that crossing the Bosphorus twice a day for a week is ₺320 alone, or that the Osmangazi bridge (İzmit) costs more than the Bosphorus bridges combined. This tool shows what you'll actually pay on common road-trip routes.

Where to buy HGS
Sticker (₺165) at PTT offices, bank branches, or any HGS booth at the highway entry. Activated online within 7 days at kgm.gov.tr or hgs.ptt.gov.tr.
HGS tolls in Türkiye scale roughly linearly with vehicle class — a class-2 vehicle pays ~2× class-1, a bus pays ~4× class-1. The Bosphorus bridges do not scale quite that much (a car with caravan is only 1.6×), because they were politically priced.

Yes. Any PTT (post office), most banks, and the highway toll booths sell them. You'll need a passport and the rental car's plate. The rental company may already have one — ask at pickup.
The system photographs your plate. You'll be fined ₺8–15× the missing toll, recoverable on exit at any HGS booth. Rental companies charge the fine plus an admin fee on your card deposit.
Cash lanes exist on most highways but lines can be 30+ minutes. HGS is dramatically faster. Some modern toll plazas (Avrasya, Yavuz Sultan Selim) are HGS-only.
